ETHNOFONIK ALL STARS NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT !
THIS IS ETHNOFONIK: A PROJECT BROUGHT TO LIFE BY AOLF, AND NOW REVIVED BY MJC-SOCIAL CENTER OF RIS-ORANGIS AND JEUNESSES MUSICALES FRANCE!
In partnership with Théâtre de l'Agora, MJC Boby Lapointe de Villebon, the city of Evry, and the Conservatoire Network of Grand-Paris Sud and Grand-Paris Sud.
TAKE A MOMENT, CLOSE YOUR EYES, AND IMAGINE...
An all-star cast of musicians from Sweden, Estonia, Germany, Portugal, Croatia and many more countries... playing a wide variety of instruments, from accordion to nyckelharpa, piano to bouzouki, violin to cajon...
With so much music to share between them, what better idea than to bring these musicians together to exchange their different musical and cultural influences and skills. But, what is music anyway...? Music is, of course, a universal language which allows people to transcend borders and get to know their neighbours – a powerful force for social cohesion. United in their diversity, the participants of Ethnofonik Allstars will be brought together to form a musical family that inspires tolerance, builds co-existence and promotes an open view on the world.
The musicians will spend seven days learning from one another, getting to know one another and exchanging expertise on supporting talented young traditional musicians from all over the globe. Following an intense week of learning music by ear, taking part in educational workshops, performing concerts and running their own workshops in local schools, music conservatories, social centres and retirement homes, each participant will have developed a rich range of skills and experience to take back to share with young people in their own country.
The Ethnofonik Allstars project will then culminate in a one-off grande finale concert, showcasing the talents of these musicians in a unique blend of musical traditions from all over Europe and beyond!
NOW, OPEN YOUR EYES!
We are asking for your contribution to help fund various elements of the project that will help to promote the project’s interaction with wider society and build a sustainable future for the project.
Our first target of € 6,000 will allow us to fund a range of guest contributors to teach on the course and activities as part of the project, including the development of music workshop toolkits to be used for teaching various audiences, including school pupils, amateur musicians, young people, children and families.
Our second aim is to reach a target of €12,000 to be able to record the final concert and produce a live album as in previous years, so as to keep a permanent record of the final product and provide a tangible resource for others to build upon.
Finally, we aim to reach a final target of €20,000 to cover part of the project cost not covered by existing funding from partner organisations, to ensure that the project remains accessible for audiences and participants from all walks of life.

From 25th November to 2nd December 2017, we want to enable musicians from Europe and the rest of the world to gain professional training in youth music exchange skills by participating in Ethnofonik Allstars!
RIGHT THEN, LET’S DO IT!
